New Senior Vice President Appointed
John Wilding FInstCES is the newly appointed Senior Vice President of ICES for the Presidential Year 2002 - 2003.

John joined the ICES as a Fellow (FInstCES) in 1987 and is an active member of the Institution through his involvement with various committees. He is the Institution's Treasurer, Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee and an elected member of the Council of Management.

By original profession a quantity surveyor, John is now increasingly involved in Dispute Management. He is the Principal of John Wilding and Co Ltd Chartered Quantity Surveyors and a Director of Blake Wilding Ltd Consultants in Engineering, both based in Manchester.

Throughout the years, John has actively contributed to the community at large and is presently Chairman of the Cheshire Police Authority's Standards in Public Life Committee.

The Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors is governed by the Council of Management, which oversees the overall direction and policy of the organisation. The Council of Management is composed of a President, Senior Vice President, Junior Vice President and fifteen ordinary members, all of which are directors and trustees of the Institution.

John's appointment coincides with the announcement of the inauguration of the Institution's new President, Peter A. Heathershaw FInstCES and the appointment of Robert Fleming FInstCES as Junior Vice President for the new Presidential Year.
