International Associate

International Associate is a new grade of membership that is at the same standard as Associate membership, except that applicants do not necessarily need to meet the normal English language requirements.

The Institution accepts direct applicants for the grade of International Associate.

Eligibility

An International Associate will have:

• Either the entrance requirements for Corporate membership (Graduate Route) or the entrance requirements for Corporate membership (Mature Entry Route)

Benefits of Membership

Key benefits include:

• The award of the designatory letters IAMInstCES.
• A recognised professional qualification at technical level.
• Ten copies per year of the Institution journal, Civil Engineering Surveyor.
• Access to ICES regional events programme (where applicable).

How to Apply

Request the booklet International Associate from the membership department, ICES Head Office. this booklet explains the application procedure and contains an application form.

Associate Member

An Associate Member has satisfied the initial desk assessment of the requirements for Corporate Membership, but has not yet successfully completed a corporate review interview. An Associate Member is committed to maintaining the ICES continuing professional development (CPD) requirements.

The Institution only grants Associate membership as a result of the outcome of an application for Corporate membership. It is not possible to apply directly for the Associate Member grade.
