An Introduction to Sub-Contracting in Civil Engineering Works
Synopsis:
The use of sub-contractors on civil engineering projects
has increased considerably over recent years and as a result there has been
a corresponding increase in disputes over payments and application of conditions
of contract. Many of these arise out of a misunderstanding of the procedures
to be followed, the relationship between the parties to the contract and their
responsibilities and powers. The purpose of this training course is to give
an insight, with delegate participation, into the background to establishing
sub-contracts and the procedures which should be followed.
