Practical Training for Young Professionals in Civil Engineering Contractual Procedures and Administration
Synopsis:
It
is essential today that young engineers and quantity surveyors embarking in
a career in the civil engineering industry have knowledge of and appreciate
the need for, good contractual procedures and administration. Indeed such
knowledge is a requirement for membership of The Institution of Civil Engineers
and other associated Institutions. The purpose of this training course is
therefore to provide the knowledge to meet these requirements by studying
in depth the procedures involved in preparation and administration of a civil
engineering contract. In order to meet this requirement the course is designed
over an extended study period. Each period will provide a detailed study of
its content and will include workshops with delegate participation and time
for discussion. In addition the delegate will be required to undertake private
study for assigned work which will be submitted for assessment.
