Graduates
and Students Voice their Opinions The G & S Committee has Regional Groups located at universities across the UK and in Ireland. Each Regional Group is chaired by a Committee Representative who sits on the G & S Committee. The members of the Regional Group will be involved with the organisation of meetings, promotional activities, events and social and professional activities. The Committee Representatives will meet at least once a year for the G & S Committee meeting to review the activities of the Committee and Regional Groups, to discuss key issues, to consider future initiatives, and of course socialise! The views and ideas of the Committee will be put forward, where appropriate, by Jennii Chadwick, Chair of the G & S Committee, to the Institution's Education, Training and Membership Committee at their quarterly meetings. The G & S Committee meetings are supported by a wide range of events and social activities, which are organised by the Committee and Regional Groups throughout the year, nationwide. The Graduates & Students Committee is always looking to recruit more Committee Representatives and Regional Group Members, and welcomes students who are currently studying an ICES accredited course and Student and Graduate Members of the Institution to join their proactive team. The G & S Committee will influence the development of the Institution's education, training and membership policies and has been introduced to its Committee structure in recognition of the value of civil engineering surveying students and graduates to the future of the both the ICES and industry. The Institution currently offers student and graduate membership, together with a range of internationally recognised qualifications at educational establishments across the UK, in Ireland and Hong Kong. |
