ICE's
Virtual Library for ICES
The
Institution of Civil Engineers' Library is now available to ICES members
online. This invaluable service has been created over the last 18 months
to provide easier access to one of the world's largest and most comprehensive
collections on civil engineering. The collection of over 100,000 volumes
includes: Major conference series' such as soil mechanics, earthquake
engineering and offshore technology conferences; the publications of
the American Society of Civil Engineers; major report series' - such
as CIRIA, TRL and Building Research reports; British standards, both
current and withdrawn; Eurocodes and selected DIN and US standards;
legal handbooks and encyclopaedias; over 20,000 pamphlets, technical
reports and off-prints; all ICE and TTL publications (including the
contract forms from the first edition onwards); ICE Proceedings (including
digitised versions); Geotechnique, both in hard copy and on CD-ROM;
complete sets of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges; Acts of Parliament
and UK government publications, both current and historic.
