ICES at Survey Ireland 2003
The Institution will be attending the Survey Ireland 2003 annual one-day conference and exhibition on Tuesday 20th May 2003 at The Grand Hotel in Malahide, County Dublin.

Representatives from the Institution's Head Office and Ireland Regional Committee will be on hand to offer advice on professional membership, education and training to those studying or employed in the commercial management and geospatial engineering disciplines within the civil engineering industry.

This event, which is being organised by the Irish Society of Surveying Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, will include a number of seminars and tutorials covering the following topics:

Findings of an initial review of the new Irish map grid.

Mapping a Changing World
Global climate changes and the requirements for spatial data.

An Integrated Transport Infrastructure
Update of developments and plans.

Continuing Professional Development
A review of resources available for skills updating and CPD.

Tutorials on the principles of the Global Positioning Systems and Co-ordinate Reference Systems.
