Definition
A Technical Member has satisfied the ICES qualification and experience
requirements in order to become a fully qualified Technical Member. A
Technical Member is committed to maintaining the ICES Continuing
Professional Development (CPD) requirements. Technical membership
is available for both commercial management and geospatial engineering
specialists.
Eligibility
A
Technical Member will have:

Either an approved HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 and/or has successfully fulfiled
the ICES Technical Member competencies.

At least three years approved experience.
Benefits

In
addition to the core benefits of membership, the Technical Member grade
also offers:

award of the designatory letters, TMInstCES.

A recognised professional qualification at technical level.

The opportunity to apply to upgrade to Corporate
Membership, when eligible.

Ten copies per year of the Institution journal, Civil Engineering
Surveyor.

How
to Apply
The
Technical Member application document must include:
For
first time applicants: Application Form
ICES101 to be signed by two sponsors.
For existing members: Upgrade Form ICES
102 to be signed by two sponsors.
A passport sized photograph.
Two copies of a Detailed CV
(1,000-1,500 words).
Two copies of an Experience
Report (1,000-1,500 words).
A comprehensive record of Continuing Professional
Development (CPD) undertaken in the last year.
The necessary application fee.
Either evidence of an appropriate qualification or a completed ICES Technical
Member Competency Form.

return all requested documentation to the Education, Training and Membership
Officer at ICES Head Office.
