NEC Seminar The region hosted a seminar on 26 July 2006 on the differences between the NEC2 and the NEC3 and the contractor’s view of programming under the NEC at Tankersley Manor Hotel. The speakers were Kieth Aiston, head of planning services, Alfred McAlpine Project Services and Paul Blackburn, director of the Leeds office of Trett Consulting and chair of the ICES Yorkshire region. The seminar was extremely well attended (it had nothing to do with the bacon sarnies and danish pastries) which was particularly satisfying as the committee have been looking for events that appeal to the membership for some time. Particular thanks goes to Keith Aiston for giving up his valuable time to speak at the meeting. The committee would also like to thank all of the attendees for this demonstration of support and look forward to the same support at the next meeting/seminar.
Details of planned events will be placed on the ICES website, so keep an eye out for further information as it becomes available. |
