Application and upgrade forms are available from the Education, Training and Membership Officer at ICES Head Office on request or in pdf format here:

Completing the Application Form

  • Complete all sections of the appropriate application form.
  • Attach all requested additional documentation together with the necessary application fee (not applicable for Student or Affiliate Member applications).
  • All application documents must be returned to the Education, Training and Membership Officer at the ICES Head Office.

If you should have any queries in relation to your application, eligibility for the membership grade for which you are applying or you require any supplementary information, contact the Education, Training and Membership Officer at ICES Head Office in advance of submitting your application.

Application and Subscription Methods of Payment

  • Application fees are payable by sterling cheque, euro cheque or banker's draft.
  • Annual subscriptions are not payable until after the application has been accepted.
  • Annual subscriptions are payable from 1 March each year (pro rata in first year of membership).
  • UK residents must pay annual subscriptions by direct debit.
  • Non-UK residents may pay annual subscriptions by sterling cheque, euro cheque, banker's draft or credit card.
  • All cheques/banker's drafts are to be made payable to ICES.
