An Introduction to Adjudication, Mediation and Arbitration

Synopsis
The course provides a practical approach to understanding the
three most popular methods of dispute resolution. The course is designed
to give delegates an understanding of the differences between the three
alternatives, the advantages and pitfalls of each and to provide the knowledge
on which delegates can decide which is the most appropriate option in
any given set of circumstances. It also offers an insight into how each
option operates.
Course duration
One day 0930-1700hrs
Objective
To ensure that delegates have a basic understanding of each of
the issues described above.
Course level
The course will suit quantity surveyors, engineers, project,
site and business managers from all parts of the construction industry
(including main contractors, subcontractors, plant hirers, client representatives
and members of the professional team).
Training is carried out by means of lectures, videos, practical exercises
and continuous assessment.
