GIS and Local Government Boundaries , Colby House, Belfast, 6pm for 6.30pm
Enda McAtamney, local government review boundary manager, will give a presentation on how GIS was used to redraw the administrative boundaries within NI. Following the Review of Public Administration the number of local government districts (LGDs) will reduce from 26 to 11 and subsequently the number of wards will reduce from 582 to 462. The presentation will demonstrate the processes, data and systems used to delineate these new boundaries and the consultation process leading up to submission to the NI Assembly.
