Atkinson Law was formed by Daniel Atkinson with the intention of providing legal advice in all areas of alternative dispute resolution. Daniel Atkinson, as an engineer, has professional experience of the design and administration and construction of engineering and building projects. As a non-practicing barrister, he has experience in avoiding and reducing disputes as well as their resolution.

He is a Fellow of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. Daniel Atkinson is an adjudicator panel member of ICE and CIArb, a mediator, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has a diploma in International Arbitration having won the Cedric Barclay Prize.

Atkinson law can provide an adjudication and mediation service which includes either acting as adjudicator in the dispute or representation in mediation or adjudication. Daniel Atkinson has represented both the referring party and the responding party on all types of disputes and standard forms of contract, and on bespoke forms. Daniel Atkinson also has experience acting as a med-adjudicator and representing parties in med-adjudication .

Daniel Atkinson has represented claimants and defendants in construction arbitrations under different legal systems. International arbitration raises particular legal issues including procedural matters related to the law of the seat of arbitration, the rules of evidence which apply and enforcement issues as well as issues in conflict law.
