Cartography/Visualisation

The art or technique of making maps, plans, charts accurately and precisely and representing three dimensions on a variety of media in either two or three dimensions.

The above definition is based upon those contained in The Establishment of the Profile and Definition of the Geodetic Surveying Profession to meet the requirements of the General Public and the Commission of the European Union published by the Comite de Liaison des Geometres-Experts Europeens in May 1996.
